De Zwenk is the ideal camping and holiday spot close to the Brouwersdam. With us you can camp, stable your horse and rent a holiday home. We keep things relaxed, small scale and well cared for. Located in the triangle of the North Sea, Oosterschelde Nature Park and the Grevelingenmeer, De Zwenk is uniquely situated for the perfect combination of peace and space. In the middle of the free polder, we’re a stone's throw away from the large nature reserve De Tureluur, home to an array of birds. De Zwenk is a truly wonderful haven to return to after your day’s adventures.
When thinking of a holiday on Schouwen-Duiveland, you might immediately think of Scharendijke, Renesse or Burgh-Haamstede. But on the outskirts of Ellemeet (the village adjacent to the Brouwersdam), there’s a hidden paradise: De Zwenk. With 25 camping places available we’re a mini camping site enticingly close to the Brouwersdam. We may have a small number of places, but each plot is spacious: with most of our camping spots in a cosy open field, there’s also the option for a more private secluded spot too.
De Zwenk can also accommodate your horse or pony, as we have both a pension stable and spacious pasture. There’s also a riding arena available, measuring 20 by 40 metres. But it’s always possible for a ride along the dunes or on the beach too. At the pension stable De Zwenk, your horse will have access to a spacious horse box and the opportunity to go outside all year round. Of course you can count on sufficient rest and regularity to ensure the well being of your pony or horse.
De Zwenk is known for its mini camping and pension stable, but we have a beautiful, modern apartment that you can rent too. Situated in the old barn, the apartment is fully equipped and is the perfect base to go and explore the great outdoors. Located on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland, you’re perfectly situated to explore the largest water rich park in the Netherlands: the Oosterschelde. There are lots of beautiful spots to discover: along the Oosterschelde, out towards Grevelingen, near Scharendijke; or the seafront at Renesse or Brouwersdam.
We went camping with friends for a long weekend with young children. De Zwenk is a fantastic campsite with great facilities, a playground, discovery areas and plenty of space. In addition, it is perfect for water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers or sunbathers. And what is certainly not unimportant is hospitable owners who provide a relaxed atmosphere and amazing service. A successful weekend for us and certainly an address to come back more often.

We had great places with our children and grandchildren during the Ascension weekend. The owner Myrte is very friendly and does everything to make you feel at home. And her daughter Venna too by the way. Our grandchildren feed the animals, brush them and hold the lamb, which they all loved. Clean sanitary facilities. Quiet environment. Near 'Plan Tureluur.' Enjoy cycling along the Oosterschelde and through the beautiful dunes at Burgh-Haamstede and Renesse. Really recommended!!!

We both grew up in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. It has now been eighteen years since we came to live in beautiful Schouwen-Duiveland for work. A place where we enjoy the beautiful surroundings, beaches and forests. Between Renesse and Scharendijke, close to the Brouwersdam, Burgh-Haamstede and Brouwershaven.
From 2024, De Zwenk with its boarding stable, apartments and campsite will be the home for our family. A place that we like to 'share' with our guests. How cool is that? :-) More people who can
enjoy the beach, sea, space and tranquility. The ideal place for water sports enthusiasts and horse lovers and people who like a combination of active and relaxed.
